... some sharp curves, you would want to increase the spacing a little to ensure a running clearance. But the full Lenz spacing seems excessive. I don't have any data for German switches, but I guess that the geometry of the GWR curved switches is probably quite close. The upper crossover is created using GWR 10ft switches and 1:6 crossings. For the 610mm long Rivarossi main line coaches I seem to remember 100mm spacing with an inner curve of 6ft radius being safe.
