You don't need the notch for this, but it will make no difference. There is no need for the template on the right to be a transition curve, change it to a constant radius. The make transition function should then create the required S-curve transition between them, see: 2_021859_250000000.png Finally you need to adjust the template boundaries so that they are not within the transition zones. That will probably mean moving the fixing peg back to the other end and then shortening the template on the left. If the new transition zone is too long to do that, cancel the transition, increase the radius of the template on the right a little, and then try again.
