To keep within the 1024 width for small screens, that meant adding a second row. Which eats into screen space, but there is always a trade-off with any change. Most users now have larger screens than in the early days of Templot. Plus T|P for insert turnout/convert to plain track, and the ORBIT mouse action. This is more beginner-friendly than snake, because like roam it ignores the peg position. I retained the STOP button for the legacy videos, even though it is now duplicated on the mouse action panel. That left some space on the top row for a few quick-access buttons to the tools> make... functions. ...
