The gaunt offset is the crossing-rail offset at the tangency point (which becomes the CTRL-1 peg position): 2_191018_320000000.png 1. Nominally, gaunt turnouts are used to terminate a length of gauntletted track. But they are far more useful than that: 2. Adjusting the gaunt offset changes the radius through the turnout side of a curviform V-crossing without changing the crossing angle. This makes a gaunt turnout extremely useful as a partial template in complex formations. At present the only way to change that radius is by messing about with an invisible custom switch, which is tedious and non-intuitive. The mouse action above modifies the turnout ...

I was discussing the possibility of said junction with a friend the other evening, using Wymondham Junction as an example. Hi Ian, Welcome to Templot Club. Gaunt turnouts will be available in a future upgrade: 2_191018_320000000.png In the meantime gauntletted track can be created using partial templates. Of course Wymondham Junction also requires a gauntletting switch, which would have to be done as partial templates also. For those who are wondering, at Wymondham Junction the junction turnout consisted of a switch and a crossing separated by a long length of gauntletted track. This was done to bring the switch within the 350yd rodding limit from the signal box. There is a picture on one of the forums, but at present I can't find it. regards, Martin ...
