... All I am setting up a GW crossing assembly and at the moment I am unable to find away to change the length of the V rail to correspond with David Smith's book on the subject. I have set out the timbering and got the wing and check rails correct but I am struggling to get an extra 12" or so to get the joints in the right place. I'm using the current TDV version. Fine adjustment can be done by changing the final joint spacing, and then doing any timber shoving needed.
