In general, short turnouts have steeper/sharper V-crossing angles, turnouts with shallow/flatter V-crossing angles are longer. Here are two turnouts to illustrate that: 2_231715_250000000.png The top one has a 1:4 V-crossing. The bottom one has a 1:10 V-crossing. The easy way to change between these and other sizes in-between is to use the F5 mouse action.
