... an irregular half-diamond. By using a much flatter K-crossing then the V-crossing, you can create a short turnout of typical industrial or narrow-gauge pattern. This is much quicker than creating a proper custom switch, and allows for easy adjustment of the turnout size. Just add some plain track for the switch front. Here's one created using 1:18 for the K-crossing and 1:4 for the V-crossing. Easily adjusted using F10 and F9 to any size you like: 2_280439_210000000.png Because it's actually a half-diamond you are restricted to equalized timbering, but that could be squared up if necessary with some timber shoving. Not suitable for running lines of course. A 1:18 curved switch is only suitable for short-wheelbase stock.
