The reason for changing the colour is that I struggle to see yellow on the screen. I changed them to a brighter colour in the "sky blue" colour scheme because the previous dark red made it difficult to see the currently selected shape showing in normal red. If you change it you can retain your preference for next time by saving your program preferences. That's at main> program panel, ...
