It was opened in 1945 and if you look the turnout closest the camera is fully interlaced and would have been newly constructed at that time. Wartime economy or the Scottish companies just doing what they knew best? The timbering looks about right for a North British 12' switch, but the impression I get is that this may be a flexible switch rather than a loose heel switch as shown in the Rannoch pictures.
