... It's quite difficult to visualize what you are trying to do. Do you have some pictures or drawings of your prototype track with the point tips adjacent to the frog vee? Martin I managed to find something similar on Google books, these are commonly called lap turnouts. The one pictured is slightly different in as much as the switch points are deep into the containing turnout.
