... slip, you can make a double outside slip in the same way. I have no idea if there are any prototype examples of that formation though! Hi Paul, Phil, Double outside slips are certainly found in UK track, more commonly in yards than in running lines. Here is a well-known picture of one. Notice that it is not symmetrical, the left-hand slip road is longer and to an easier radius than the right-hand slip road. The usual term for what you have there is a "half-scissors". The photo is exactly what I had in mind althought only a half scissiors version. Will apply the ideas and suggestions and post the results when finished. ... possible to draw this in Templot please? Bernard Haste posted: 24 Feb 2016 19:19 from: Martin Wynne Hi Bernard, Yes, as a series of partial templates, in the same way as other complex formations. It is essentially a double outside slip: 2001-07-19.0004.DKW-Baeseler.jpg image from Wikimedia Commons Except in P4, S7, etc., it will be difficult to make an exact model with wider than scale flangeways -- a more usual UK-style double outside slip would be easier: double_outslip.jpg regards, Martin.
