I have a Templot programme, and am learning to use the functions. Is it possible to purchase turnouts/slips/crossover drawings ready-produced from Templot? The reason I am asking is that I wish to make a start on a layout, and having a library of various turnouts will save time. Regards John G |

Hello John, Welcome to Templot! It is a bit of a steep learning curve to start with unfortunately, but if you search these pages you will find plenty of threads from other newcomers. There is not really any such thing as a "library" of turnouts - indeed the very strength of Templot is the speed with which unique formations can be built from scratch. My suggestion would be to learn by following the demo videos http://www.templot.com/martweb/tutorials.htm Although this does need some investment in your time, you will find that you can within just a few minutes knock out any number of basic turnouts to whatever specification you need. Having said that, if you look in "share and show" bit of this forum http://85a.co.uk/forum/view_forum.php?id=12 .. you will find a number of layouts (.box files) which people have already worked on - maybe even some in your chosen scale / gauge from which you could load individual templates if it would help - it is in any case useful to see how other people have done things. Come back when you have had a go - you will find people are willing to help when you get stuck - and don't worry if you do - everyone does: this is a powerful bit of software so we can't expect to get the hang of it in 5 minutes! Good luck, Howard. |
