For those who haven't been glued to this on RMweb or YMR for the last few days, here is a live webcam from a crossing in the railroad town of Fostoria, Ohio, USA. Long freight trains cross here frequently all day long. Unlike most webcams this one has sound, which makes it addictive. Time now in Ohio is: (This location gets very noisy. ) Click for Google streetview of the crossing. The camera is on the building on the left. Zoom out to see the map, and the amazing complex of railroad junctions around Fostoria. regards, Martin. |

Martin, Nice viewing. Did you see the white pickup truck that drove round the barrier when it was down and made it through the far track about 2 seconds before the train ! I will bet they have a few smashes at this kind of crossing. Making me kinda sick watching all the cars with the soft suspension over the bumps.....don't they change their shock absorbers much ? Someone got half way across the crossing just now in a car and them had to wait for a very long and slow freight train. | ||
