Hi all I had an idea when I downloaded the development version. I don't use desktop icons, preferring to have all my regularly used programs in the quick launch menu instead (Windows XP in my case). It struck me that when I installed the TDV I would have two identical hard hat icons for both the normal and development versions of Templot with nothing to indicate which was which. That being the case I decided to modify the standard icon to create a red version for the TDV, attached here in a ZIP file. It should be placed in the C:TEMPLOT_DEV folder after being extracted from the ZIP file to a useful place on your PC. To have it show as the TDV icon, right click on the TDV EXE file and select "Properties", then "Change Icon" and browse to the C:TEMPLOT_DEV folder and double click the red icon. Click OK twice and there you have it, the Templot TDV with a red hard hat! It will probably also be useful for normal desktop use to have the two versions with different coloured icons. Regards Alan |

Hi Alan, Many thanks for that. I would like to add it to the actual TDV program file. Is that ok? regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin You can add it to the program itself without any problems, and I have reposted the ZIP file with a new icon on my original message. The first icon was derived from a PNG capture but I found the original ICO file and have now modified that with a consequent increase in quality. Regards Alan |

Alan McMillan wrote: The first icon was derived from a PNG captureHi Alan, My compiler rejected the first one as not a valid .ico file, so I edited the yellow one myself in the icon editor. It's attached below for comparison with yours. Many thanks for the idea. regards, Martin. |

My pleasure Martin. I did find the original icon and redited and reposted it myself as the quality of the original one wasn't so good. Job done anyway. Regards Alan |
