I have now uploaded TDV build #3143 which I feel makes some significant progress: 1. the platforms should now show correctly in all output formats. You can set the end and rear edges not to show, so that platforms on adjacent templates merge into a single platform. You can change the platform colours, and the infill can be changed from solid to hatched to save ink. 2. likewise the gaunt turnouts and gauntletted track should be showing correctly in all output formats. These are a bit more specialised, the primary function being as partial templates in complex formations. 3. the export dialog is now fully working (apart from the help notes) -- output > export a file... menu item. I would be grateful if you would give this build a good bashing and report anything untoward. I am certain to have overlooked something. Try creating all shapes and sizes of exported files from your track plan, and editing them in a graphics editor program. Things to check are that the grid lines correspond exactly in all output formats, for example. I would be interested in any comments on the font size for the grid labels in exported files. It's very difficult to create a consistent and convenient size for this. Of course in many cases users will want to turn off the grid labels in image files. There is a tickbox for that on the export dialog. Plus a few other changes -- details at: message 9639 Download from: topic 1500 If no serious problems are found in # 3143, I can turn my attention back to the unfinished sketchboard. Thanks again, Martin. |
