Probably a 1 in 5 would work. Ian Allen wrote: Hi David, |

Oh now you've done it, do I rejig Fourgig East AGAIN to use this 1:5 double slip and change the associated turnout to a 1:5 too, would make the run-round a lot longer .... But is a 1:5 slip workable? |

Depends on your minimum radius requirement. Tiebar operation could be less of an issue. RedgateModels wrote: Oh now you've done it, do I rejig Fourgig East AGAIN to use this 1:5 double slip and change the associated turnout to a 1:5 too, would make the run-round a lot longer .... |

Borg-Rail wrote:Depends on your minimum radius requirement. Tiebar operation could be less of an issue. Well, I have an A4 already on the layout, so the 54.4" radius of the double slip will not trouble the 30.5" radius of the A4. The layout will be predominantly populated by small(ish) tank engines. Just hope I can construct the slip in front of the crowds at the Mansfield Show http://www.mansfieldmodelrailway.co.uk/ |
