I have attached a Zip file containing some LNER trackwork drawings I have recently had the opportunity to scan. They are reductions of full size drawings and were provided to material clerks for them to order components. They are mostly dated from 1927 to 1932. There were far to many drawings to include them all so I have put in what I think are more useful ones. There are no chair drawings in the file as there were dozens in the drawings I had and it seems a bit esoteric to include them Hope you find them useful Nick |

Many thanks for this Nick - as my Stowe Fen layout is allegedly based on ex-GE and GN practice in the 1930's, this will be very useful. OK so some of the trackwork would actually date from the 1880s or so, but some would have got relaid even on such an obscure branch.... Regards Chris |

Chris If you can get a copy of 'Moden British Permanent Way' by C J Allen it has several drawings of GER practice. The book was published in 1915 and was reprints of articles in Railway News between 1911 and 1914 Regards John Arkell |
