Thought those who have not been to Bodmin would like to see this combined turnout/catch points Quite an interesting project for a rainy day. 982_021603_590000000.jpg Engine shed end: 982_021605_100000000.jpg 982_021607_120000000.jpg 982_021606_040000000.jpg 982_021607_520000000.jpg 982_021608_250000000.jpg I had a bit of head scratching the first time I went to Bodmin as I only saw it from the train (I thought it was a slip at first), but after looking at the photos then another visit I have a better understanding of it. There is a mixture of 2 and 3/4 bolt chairs on both the check and slide chairs. |

My thoughts which are just a guess is its a repair using a crossing nose chair. Here is another view taken last year, but I am 280 miles away so cannot pop down to take a photo. also its in a place where you have to take it from the carriage unless you work there. 982_040332_390000000.jpg I have enlarged the photo from the original so you should be able to make it a bit bigger What I have just noticed is that the D chair (next one to the right ) is missing the central block part of the chair, As there is no sigh of any block or standard chairs within the V |

Nice pics :-) Nice model track :-) I have digital pics of various similar arrangements. I would guess that both the Trap blades at Bodmin are worked on the one lever. This is often the case. I'm pretty sure that I have an example of a similar two sets worked off of one point motor. Also I would pretty much expect the Independent Disc (GW Ground Signal aka "dummy") to apply to both roads. Yes - definitely nice pics and nice track. :-) |
