Used to use Shrewsbury quite a lot between 1970 and the mid 1990s, on journeys between Aberystwyth and the real world. Can never remember platform 3 being used by passenger trains, let alone platforms 1 and 2. Nigel |

Nigel - Further remodelling had taken place by then. Track to platforms 1 & 2 had been removed and the roof just about completely altered/removed, amongst many other changes. Platform 3 whilst not as busy as 4, 5, 6 and 7 is used now. I should add that platform 3, as far as I'm aware, is now only accessible from a separate exit to platforms 4-7. I've lighted at platform 3 several times in the last ten years when catching a late service from Wolverhampton, Birmingham & the NEC. | ||
