I use Templot2 on a laptop but this issue may apply to any PC set to use sleep mode under Win10. If Templot is open when the machine sleeps, on re-awakening the Trackpad looks normal but most activity attempts, including quit, generate an error message: Acess violation at address 00451FD4 in templot2.exe. Read of address 00000004. It is necessary to end the program with task manager. I don't have any other programs that do this. Is it a bug? |

Hi Paul, I haven't been able to reproduce this on my Windows10 system. Anyone else seeing this? My only suggestion would be to check with Windows Update that your system is up to date. (Windows 10 claims to do this automatically. It may do so in theory if you wait long enough, but I often find doing a manual check that there are important updates available.) regards, Martin. |

Martin Wynne wrote: I haven't been able to reproduce this on my Windows10 system. Anyone else seeing this?Martin, I've been running Win 10 on my main PC almost since the day it was made available and I've had not seen the problem. The PC drops into sleep mode several times per day and I've had no problem with Templot open when I wake it up again. I got a new laptop at the end of last year and it came with Win 10 installed and I run Templot on it regularly and it recovers from sleep and hibernate with Templot open and I have had no problems. I've got both on automatic update so I am assuming that they have both been running on the latest available Win 10 release at all times. Jim, |

I've been running W10 for several months on a Dell desktop. I have not experienced this problem either, and I "sleep" the PC at least one per day. | ||

I've run win 10 + templot on two different pc's without any problems. In fact on my old pc which I upgraded from win 7 it worked better, as Templot wouldn't recognise an upgrade, wihch meant I was having to reinstall it each time. However, the win 10 upgrade fixed this. Wierd. Don't really know how to help you, Paul. You could try changing the settings so it doesn't sleep? |
