Hi, I find it easier when doing a plan over a map of a prototype trackplan to set the timbering to no timbering, it's just so much of a pain to switch it back on for each and every template when I'm done. Is it possible for either a Group or Global option to restore it? |

You could turn off the timber outlines in the generator menu and then rebuild all background. Richard |

Untick the timber outlines option. Turning the settings back on is again one click. In the next program update I have restored the easier access to the generator menu. Changes made there will apply immediately to the control template, and to all background templates after you rebuild them. None of these changes affect anything in your template .box files. You may prefer the generator > use skeleton settings option which turns off almost everything in one go. The no timbering option in the real menu is not there for convenience in working on the screen. It is intended only for aspects of the actual track design, for example inset tracks on a dockside. Having said that I'm as guilty as everyone else in using it occasionally simply for convenience. There is an option to apply those timbering design settings to a group of templates, see: 2_150456_310000000.png This modifies the group template(s) to match the current timbering settings on the control template. But bear in mind that this will apply to all the timbering settings in that menu, not just the no timbering option only. edit: thanks Richard for saying the same thing in fewer words. regards, Martin. |

I mentioned that I have made some changes for easier access to the generator menu in the next program update: 2_150848_500000000.png Ideally this would be replaced with a full dialog window, but that will have to wait. The next update is overdue, and there are several other unfinished changes taking up my time. Martin. |
