I wonder if someone could tell me if I'm on the right track with the shoving of timbers in the following formation. I've not done anything with the plain track to the right as I'm more interested in the timbering of the turnout to the left and slip to the right. For the turnout I think you might do better to change to equalized incremental style. For NER/LNER you have probably got 4 or 5 too many long timbers, it is more likely that the plain track sleepers would be interlaced between the normal length timbers. A lot depends on the location and traffic. If this double track is part of the fast ECML, square-on apart from the middle section of the slip, and plenty of long timbers. If it's goods lines, loops, or in a yard, equalized and very few long timbers. cheers, Martin. |
