It's been a while...... after a year and more that has suffered from the old Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" the light at the end of the tunnel has finally stopped receding and I might actually get round to making some track. I tried to get some of these made (a long time ago!), but the bod who was going to do it has expired. Are there any available yet, or is going back to 0-FS going to be easier? Cheers Richard |

Jim Snowdon had some 31.50mm and 31.75mm gauges etched, you could try him to see if he has any left. Cheers for now John from 33820 St Ciers, France |

C+L sells O-XF, (31.00mm), gauges. I fail to see why anyone should want any others. The so called problems of actually building to 31mm have never manifested themselves in Llaniog, my 40 foot O-XF layout, as anyone who watched it at Warley/NEC over the last two days can testify. For those who have tried but found their skills wanting, C+L also sell rerady assembled Common Crossings in O-XF, as well as Scale 7 and Finescale O. (In fact, I should have said my ex layout, as I sold it at the NEC on Friday and delivered it to the new owner this morning). Now I have an empty modelling room. Whoopeeeeee........ A new Timber Tracks based layout is at the planning stage. One aspect I would appreciate any advice upon is the idea of having legs fitted permanently to a base board and folding away when not in use. 'Tis both rigidity and weight I wonder about. Regards Brian Lewis.
