TEMPLOT 3D PLUG TRACK - To get up to speed with this experimental project click here.

See the User Guide at Bexhill West.
The Plug Track functions are experimental and still being developed. Some of the earlier pages of this topic are now out-of-date.
For an updated overview of this project see this topic. For some practical modelling aspects of using Plug Track see Building 3D Track.
The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

This is new info to me. An alternative source to Masokits for etched fold-up chairs. Has anyone tried these?

Hi
I have attached a file showing how far I have got with timbering a 1:7 crossover.
I am working on GWR Old type curved switches using 9' minumum length sleepers and timbering. On reading the crossing timber section of GWR switching and crossing practice I am assuming that early practise...

DCC Concepts have just announced some new track components:
Etched 00 sleepers. Cast brass bridge chairs.
See: https://mailchi.mp/dccconcepts/legacy_track_1-5126186
Why they are building plain track with bridge chairs is a bit of mystery. When bridge chairs are used on plain track it is...
