Access violation at address 006F569C

Hello Martin
This situation has arisen when trying to recover files from a questionable drive, so whether it's a flaw or not is debatable. It tells me that .ixt file is not available then gives me the option to cancel or delete the affected file. If I cancel then then Templot carries on, but if I choose to delete the affected file I get a warning:

Access violation at address 006F569C in module 'templot_2.exe'. Read of address 070388A4.

I have seen the note of how to deal with damaged/ missing .ixt files. I have selected the option to delete the damaged ixt file, but it then tells me that it's been unsuccessful and then shows the access violation once I click the screen. I have manually looked for ixt files but can't find any at all.

NB this computer has version 2.26f, so it may no longer be relevant. I am downloading the latest version into my new PC, as per your t&c, but I am just searching this computer for relevant files to copy over first.

Many thanks
Derek

Many thanks Martin

I did try searching for any similar threads first, but of course the words I was looking for were different. Just for reference, this is from files generated from Templot 2 around 2014-2016, not from the original Templot pre 2001 as per the link above.

I'll gladly accept your kind offer to repair the file; I've been a bit careless with names for files so I'll need to try and work out which one it is first. There are also several large files such as Kings Cross through the ages, Waverley, Whitby, but these are all equally old and need of re-drafting, so I'm not worried about them.

Again my thanks for your help.
Derek
