• If you don't know anything about exporting in MECBOX format, or you don't understand this topic, you can safely ignore it.
With effect from the next Templot2 program update I am removing the MECBOX export/import functions.
They are no longer needed because Graeme has developed a function to convert extended-precision data types to double-precision for use in OpenTemplot. This means BOX files from Templot2 will be able to be loaded in OpenTemplot as is.
If you have been using the MECBOX format to save your track templates please be sure to load each file and save it again as a BOX file before updating to the next version of Templot2. Otherwise you won't be able to load your saved data into Templot2.
With all the latest additional plug track data, maintaining the MECBOX format is a great deal of work, and since the format is no longer needed it can be abandoned.
