I really hope the Department for Transport doesn't see that video. If they look at those open cage wagons they might end up specifying them as the next generation of 'Intercity' trains- after all, it's going to take some really serious thinking how they can make trains any less comfortable than they are now.

As part of the HS2 project has bitten the dust I guess these "sugar cane" wagons will be used instead

They would need the vertical version of a facing point lock on this "almost" grade crossing. They haven't even got a window in the signal box......
