One problem with making an archive of the old Club forum is that I keep finding stuff which I wish I had responded to, or responded to differently.
For example John Hurst only ever made one post, this one:

After 7 years I don't remember seeing it, but I probably did. And I should have made a reply, if only to welcome John to Templot Club. With the best will in the world I can't respond to everything -- one reason for making Templot free was so that I'm not under any obligation to do so. But I still feel bad about it.
Ian did reply a few months later.
