I think it will need to be the answer, as I thought it was of GW origin and clearly it's MR. It still may turnout to be somewhere that I have had occasion to visit.

Bewdley South Down Distant on 6th June 2019.

The field is part of Droppingwells Farm, the red haze is poppies. Also in the picture (behind the signal) is Bewdley International Airport:

Its future is in doubt because the farmland has recently been acquired by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, linking together three existing nature reserves to create one of the largest areas of natural heathland in the Midlands:

Sunny today, so I went looking for a photo.

severn_stour_3800x1900.jpg

This is the confluence of the River Severn and River Stour (emerging under the bridge on the left). In the days of the carpet industry in Kidderminster, the Stour would run brightly coloured from the dye-house effluent -- bright greens, reds, blues, purples would spread across the Severn at this point.

The signs in the river warn of submerged obstacles to river craft -- the remains of the cooling water intake and outflow from Stourport Power Station.

This was the same location looking the other way in 1985 after the power station closed (1984). Holbrooks Vinegar Works still stands, production (Sarsons) ceased in 2000 and 21 years of dereliction have not been kind to it. The power station was behind the fence on the right:

Tesco paid to have this area cleaned up 7 years ago, part of a Section 106 planning agreement.

From today's wander.

geopark_larford_3800x1900.jpg

This is a section of the Geopark Way south of Stourport-on-Severn. The land on the right was a sand quarry in the 1950s. The left falls steeply to the River Severn.

Behind the gate was the old washery for the sand quarry. The contractors for the new Lincomb Fish Pass used the site as their works compound, which explains the new gate.
