TEMPLOT 3D PLUG TRACK - To get up to speed with this experimental project click here.   To watch an introductory video click here.   See the User Guide at Bexhill West.

  • The Plug Track functions are experimental and still being developed. Some of the earlier pages of this topic are now out-of-date.

    For an updated overview of this project see this topic.   For some practical modelling aspects of using Plug Track see Building 3D Track.

    The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

    Some pages of this and other topics include contributions from members who are creating and posting their own CAD designs for 3D printing and laser-cutting. Do not confuse them with Templot's own exported CAD files. All files derived from Templot are © Martin Wynne.

Sorry for the bother
@Godders

Hi Godders,

No problem. Glad it sorted itself out.

If it happens again, please can you post a screenshot. Thanks.

p.s. What happens if you click this option:

Since some recent Windows updates, I have found several of my programs run much better if I do the same to them -- i.e. not quite full-screen. Especially TurboCAD and the program which I use to write the Companion.

Windows is an odd thing. Constantly changing for no good reason, but still runs ancient programs just fine. Sometimes the older the better, compared with some modern software. I have a couple of utility programs from Windows95 which have worked fine through every version of Windows since, and are now running better than ever on Windows11. Likewise the Delphi5 compiler which I use for Templot -- it's from Windows98 but still running fine on Windows11, 25 years later.

cheers,

Martin.

It works fine with either selection; maximized or down-sized.
My machines, all Win 10, work fine usually. This is the first, "problem", I've had for a long time. I'm reluctant to move to Win 11, I can't see any advantages and wonder why MS need to update. "If it ain't broke.....
