Missing Chairs on bonus timbers

Quick reply >
Hello,

I'm new to templot but interested in the possibilities it offers.

I've worked through developing a simple cross-over and seem to have succeeded in getting the basic form. However, when I add bonus timbers into the gap between the two turnouts, I find that I'm unable to get chairs placed on them and feel that I must have missed something along the way. The turnouts are REA type C, with #8 Vs, in case that is relevant.

Is there a way to manually place chairs, or otherwise force them into existence?

Thanks, Mike

welcome to Templot club forum,
When you say the gap between two turnouts, do the rails extend across the gap?
Can you post your .box file here for us to have a look at?
use the attach files button
For chairs to appear they need rails and timbers.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to Templot Club. :)

Sorry, chairing is not yet supported on bonus timbers. To get a chaired extra timber, overlay a short 1-sleeper length of plain track. Using the shove timber functions, widen it to timber-width, and using the chair heaving functions change the chairs to whatever type you need.

However, it should be possible to make a C-8 crossover without a gap needing bonus timbers. If you post your BOX file here we can have a look and see what needs doing.

cheers,

Martin.

Thanks Martin,

That actually went a long way to sorting out that issue. I was getting the gap in timbers from using a 7 ft way instead of a 6 ft way. Using the 6 foot way eliminated the gap.
