I would like to know if you can choose the distance between the tracks when you choose parallel V-crossing or does it always set the distance as a default setting. I look forward to any replies on this.

I'm not sure I understand the question so forgive me if I have, but is this the control you're after?
Or are you creating the crossover by using the parallel V crossing option under 'REAL' to create the 'return' curve as a basis for the second turnout. If so, then I'm afraid I can't help you as I've only ever used the on-screen 'crossover' button.

The plug track chairing is not yet done for the return-curve part of a parallel V-crossing.
But as it's plain track, you could do it using a length of plain track printed using the FDM flexi-track option for the timbering base. Align it over the printed paper template when laying the track.
