Separation points

Hello,

Is there any possibility to show separation points in the plans, e.g. by very small bars across the tracks in colour and independently for each track? In this way, you could already draw the separation points on the plan, for turnouts, blocks, etc. and thus already plan them on the plan. At the moment I do it in such a way that I keep a small distance between the tracks where I plan a separation point. But that is awkward and quite time-consuming. In addition, I don't have the option of specifying only one side of the track or in the turnouts.

It might be good to colour the separation points with the possibility to show or hide them and the same for the printout.

Greetings from Paris,

Jürgen

Hi Jürgen,

Thanks for your suggestion. Welcome to Templot Club. :)

I assume by separation points you mean locations, not turnouts?

And do you mean the location of uncoupling devices, or the clearing-point in converging tracks? Or something else?

For uncoupling devices, you could mark them on the templates using the symbols function. The various symbols mean whatever you choose them to mean. A sticker symbol is probably the most convenient to mark uncoupling magnets or ramps. More about the symbols function is at:

If this hasn't covered your suggestion, please ask again. :)

cheers,

Martin.

Hi Jürgen,

By "separation points" you mean isolation gaps? :)

The reason some of them are off the rail is that you have accidentally clicked this box:

symbol_on_check_rail.png

Which causes the symbol to be applied to an adjacent check rail (guard rail) instead of the running rail. Sorry, Templot doesn't check to see if there is actually a check rail there.

If you select one of those symbols (click on it, it will go white, or select it in the list), untick the above box, and then click the modify symbol button, it will jump on to the rail.

cheers,

Martin.
