TEMPLOT 3D PLUG TRACK - To get up to speed with this experimental project click here.   To watch an introductory video click here.   See the User Guide at Bexhill West.

  • The Plug Track functions are experimental and still being developed. Some of the earlier pages of this topic are now out-of-date.

For an updated overview of this project see this topic.   For some practical modelling aspects of using Plug Track see Building 3D Track.

The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

Some pages of this and other topics include contributions from members who are creating and posting their own CAD designs for 3D printing and laser-cutting. Do not confuse them with Templot's own exported CAD files. All files derived from Templot are © Martin Wynne.

Below is the original version of T3 (TemplotMEC) posted 10th December 2019. There are later forked versions of T3/T4, for which see:

https://85a.uk/templot/club/index.php?forums/templotmec-nuts-and-bolts.5/

December 2019:

These attached files are the open-source version of Templot ( https://85a.uk/templot/ ):

© Martin Wynne 2019, released under GNU/GPLv3:

https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html

The file:

templot_mec_292a_10_12_2019.zip

contains the entire source for T3 ( templotmec.exe )

It can be opened, compiled and run as a project in Lazarus:

https://www.lazarus-ide.org/

For more information see:

https://85a.uk/templot/archive/topics/topic_3283.php

The file:

t3_files.zip

contains support files, including:

ot_screenshot_capture.dpr
web_capture_unit.dfm
web_capture_unit.pas

Which are a Delphi5 project (not Lazarus) which creates the map screenshot helper executable (Windows only):

ot_screenshot_capture.exe
ot_screenshot_capture.exe.manifest

These last 2 files should be copied into your Lazarus "output" folder.

Martin Wynne.

December 2019.
