For an updated overview of this project see this topic.   For some practical modelling aspects of using Plug Track see Building 3D Track.

The assumption is that you have your own machines on which to experiment, or helpful friends with machines. Please do not send Templot files to commercial laser cutting or 3D printing firms while this project is still experimental, because the results are unpredictable and possibly wasteful.

Some pages of this and other topics include contributions from members who are creating and posting their own CAD designs for 3D printing and laser-cutting. Do not confuse them with Templot's own exported CAD files. All files derived from Templot are © Martin Wynne.

Well I have just ordered a reel of Sunlu PLA+ and have Esun PLA+ and Anycubic PLA+

I understand its a case of using the same file on the same machine using each of the 3 filaments and I guess do the same test with the second machine

Do you want me to test the strength of the chairs using the 3 different makes of filament, simply to see if there is and noticeable difference

I would also be interested to know the practical and performance variation with different filaments (e.g. PLA, PLA+ etc.) used to print the same part.

Bambu are releasing a new filament on the 19th that they describe as 'Just like real wood' I'll be ordering some of that to try. Also they are releasing a TPU that's compatible with their AMS so I'll be trying that too for the 'built in' printed cork replacement I've been experimenting with.
