... boggling! Hi Raymond, You didn't mention that this is for 0 gauge, so it's big, but not the vast emptiness that 4mm modellers might be imagining. In particular, the 12ft width means curves under 6ft radius for a continuous run, which is getting tight in 0 gauge. I see for example that you have a B7 off the inside of the end curve, giving an inner radius of only 41" which is very tight for 0. If you have turnouts in your end curves I would suggest C-10 as the shortest practical size, and preferably using even longer sizes. So I think you might want to hide most of the end curves, leaving a nice visible area 20ft long between them. I noticed that you are using the 0-XF standard. There is more discussion about this in this topic: topic 378 regards, Martin. posted: 22 Mar 2008 13:55 from: Raymond Thanks for the replies so far. The CTRL+ Z REA resets don't work properly if the control template contains a custom switch, and don't work at all if the control template contains a custom gauge/scale setting which has not been adopted into the gauge/scale list. However, I'm a little puzzled about what you were trying to do. Resetting to an REA B6 makes no sense for a narrow-gauge turnout. That's the default startup setting for UK-pattern standard-gauge bullhead track. Thanks again for reporting the bug. ...

The prototype switch opening is 4.1/4" to ensure an adequate flange clearance (2" min) all along behind the open blade. You have only allowed about a rail width (2.3/4 ") of space for the blade to open: howard_tandem.png It is also necessary to have room for the stretcher bar brackets. Unfortunately when loaded as a background shape in Templot it was difficult to get anything matching. I then realised that despite being careful on the use of the perspective tool I had mis-judged it slightly so I was getting gauge widening through the turnout. If I set the approach road to the right gauge then it'd be 8% to 10% out at the crossing. So now I use the measure tool in gimp to check the gauge is constant through the turnout before loading it into Templot. Looks are deceptive, in the photo it looks like the gauge is wider at the top than the bottom, but the gauge is in fact a constant width through the turnout.
