I'm probably doing something wrong, but I have to move the page/print datum point when I come to print this group.  It appears as though the grouped track in the attached box file is sitting outside the print area.  Is that possible or is it me?....:)

Just noticed that using Shift/Control/F10 shows a background print size. I thought it was unlimited, the same as the actual plan.  Does this mean large plans have to be printed in sections?

Hi Gordon,

You are not doing anything wrong. :)

Yes, a single print run is limited to a maximum of 33 pages long by 26 pages wide.

How large an area that represents depends of course on the paper size.

If some tracks are outside the printed area, you can move the print origin manually using the SHIFT+CTRL-F10 mouse action, so that those tracks are then within the page outlines.

Alternatively, if you want the new pages to line up with those previously printed, you can click the print > page orientation/origin > multiple print runs > next run menu items.

If you want the new page outlines to repeat some of the previous ones, you can click print > set page origin... menu item, and select the number of pages option.

When you zoom out, the page outlines on the pad are omitted because they cause too much clutter. To see them again, go to main > program panel... , and then the program > page outlines trip... menu item. To see them at all times regardless of the zoom, set a very large number, e.g. 5000.

p.s. .box files don't include any group information, so I can only guess which tracks you mean. To make a group visible when posting a .box file, change the marker colour for the group.

regards,

Martin.

Thanks Martin...Didn't realise that was the case re grouping and box files.  Another one to add to the memory bank..:thumb:

It was also useful to know about multiple print runs....
