Hello

I'm trying to follow a 1ā€:1' plan of a triple turnout, to LMS design (well most probably to CLC design). Most of it is going well, but I'm having difficulty with one of the crossings. Unfortunately I can't post the plan here due to copyright. There are 5 crossings, 1 in 6.5 common crossing, 1 in 14 common crossing and 1 in 7 common crossing. But there is one crossing labelled 1 in 9 RHPW crossing, and another labelled 1 in 8 LHPW crossing.

Does anyone know what RHPW and LHPW refer to? Iā€™m guessing right-hand something and left-hand something. Would these affect the crossings within Templot? I ask as except for the 1 in 9 RHPW the rest have gone pretty much to plan, but the 1 in 9 is more like a 1 in 11. I have another plan (4ā€™:1ā€) which also lists this as a 1 in 9.

TIA

Hi Richard,

PW = parallel wing. The wing rail is extended to merge with the next check rail.

The angles shouldn't be affected.

regards,

Martin.

Blimey that was quick, and now you point it out, you're right!

More fiddling for me then trying to get this to be a 1:9. Oh humm.

Again thanks!
