Wish I could be the camera man on the steam run north of Harrow to Aylesbury. Was he sitting on the buffer beam, or was there a truck in front of the loco? But don't believe the modern captions below. The steam engine is at Harrow on the Hill not Preston Park. |

That was a fabulous discovery. I was apprenticed at the British Thompson Houston Co at Neasden and travelled that line between Northwick Park and Neasden every day '44/'49). I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I was surprised to see a station referred to as Preston Park. During my travel on the line I am sure it was called Preston Road ( Or is it my tired brain giving me yet another bum steer ? Regards, Donald |
