Ok, I might have created alot of work for myself but I am hoping there is a simple way to do what I want....I just haven't found it yet.

Now, on my plans for my RR I have decided to change the tie spacing and rail length to something more prototype. I have gone from the US turnouts box's 39ft with 24 ties to 31' rail with ties on 22" centres. I have one template done and have tried grouping everything else and selecting the new rail data but nothing happens. Is there another way to do it or am I just in for deleting to background, selecting rail data, save and backgrounding every single template?

As usual, will be appreciative of any advice or knowledge transfer....

Cheers
Bruce

Okie dokie, I found the Modify & Rebuild option, which is easier than my first thought method, which works on individual templates still in background but not with a selected group. Have done one plan so far, 4 to go.

Suggestion to Martin: Can we have the Modify & Rebuild option available to groups please :)

Cheers

Hi Bruce,

It is.

On the storage box do this:

1. options > modify on rebuild > timbering + lengths as current menu item.

2. group > rebuild group menu item.

3. options > modify on rebuild > timbering + lengths as stored menu item.

N.B. restoring the setting as 3. is essential after using this function, otherwise you may get in a terrible mess. Don't forget! :)

More notes about this at: http://www.templot.com/martweb/gs_box_notes.htm

Scroll down to the details about the options menu.

regards,

Martin.
