For those that might be interested I have attached a screenshot of Templot running on my Macbook Pro via Parallels and Vista business. Installation was a breeze (apart from Vista asking me if it had installed Templot correctly), i verified correct installation, entered a new code, and that's it. Everything seems to work fine and printing works as well |

Hi Cynric Thats great to know as I am about to buy a MBP and Parallels, and as I work away from home now I very rarely get to use my Templot thats on the PC at Home. Having used Parallels quite a bit I can say its one of the best bits of software on the mac, and light years on from Virtual PC etc.. I know the hardwares changed but life is so much easier now. Though I have heard some good things about VMware. Just need to get down to the regent st store, and have a look.. Regards Tom |

its_all_downhill wrote: Hi CynricTom, Crossover office could be an option as well, I have the demo version to try out sometime. The installation with parallels works well the only PC specific programmes I use are Templot and turbocad but i have had some problems resizing the virtual disc and templot asking for a new authorisation code. I guess this is because the authenticstion and lock release code change according to memory and disc size, I shall either get 4gb of ram or tweak my parallels memory setting before pestering Martin for yet another release code! I've just downloaded the 91b for use on my iMac. I have resisted putting Parallels on my MBP thus far but i may succumb when it has the planned 4gb RAM upgrade. As I only use templot sporadically I haven't really used it to its full potential. I am finding that the keyboard function keys don't work, F7 to shift template just skips my tunes back one track! Ctrl Q does bring up quick set but the most used functions in 'mouse actions: current' have to be accessed from the drop down menu. Is it an XP thing with Mac keyboards or haven't I got settings right? Ian |

It may be faster to click than using the menus: on_screen_keyboard.png Find it at Start > Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard. regards, Martin. |
