Hi Nigel,

The file needs to be in BMP format (Windows Bitmap) and saved in your C:/TEMPLOT/SHAPE-FILES folder. Your scanner software should allow you to save in that format to that folder.

If not, save it from the scanner as JPG format at the highest quality setting. Then open it in your photo editor program and save it again in BMP format.

There is a video here showing the process:

Hi Nigel,

Sorry, that's not too clear.

Can you explain in a bit more detail exactly what you did and exactly what messages you see?

regards,

Martin.

Hi Nigel,

Where did you save the BMP file? It needs to be saved in your C:/TEMPLOT/SHAPE-FILES/ folder.

Don't try to open it directly in the Background Shapes -- if you did that Templot wouldn't know where to put it on the grid or what size to make it.

Instead click the picture shape option and then the enter dimensions... button.

It's all explained in this video: http://85a.co.uk/flash/backgnd_scan/

Wait for it to finish loading, then click the play button.

regards,

Martin.
