Hallo Martin. I have a EM layout based on a place called Pateley Bridge up in the Yorkshire Dales, N.E.R. territory. The layout is basically 14ft. long and is entered at both ends with single line track leading into a "fan" of running lines/ loops and such like. After moving out here I re-assembled the base boards and track but I still would like to make the curves take the locos and running stock smoother. The re-adjustment must be very slight but when done I will have much smoother running. My idea is to purchase Templot to produce the curves, which mostly have turnouts in them, and lay the print-outs onto the existing track so that I can see where to make the adjustments. Is this a reasonable idea and as a learner will I be able to cope with the technology. Has Templot got plenty of tutorials and is there a "fan club" to consult? Now to the practical side of ordering. I have a bank account in the UK (I kept it so I could cope with urgent matters such as modelling) so I could send you a cheque. If I do so does the programme come on a CD or do I still have to download it. Frankly computers scare the living lights out of me. Apart from the basic programme are there any other bits and pieces I could consider. Living out here, perfect in every way, I do find that in modelling matter I am very isolated from other practitioners. I cannot just ask a group of experts at the club night what to do. The only thing I miss about the UK is the Warley MRC. Milton H Australia. |

Like any software there is a lot to learn at first, but the Templot web site has lots of tutorials and videos to watch. Usually those with little computer experience pick it up easily, it is experienced computer users who find it more difficult for some reason. This Templot Club forum for users is the "fan club" as you put it.  There is lots of friendly help here, so why not join? Just click the Register ink at the top of this page.Now to the practical side of ordering. Otherwise there may be a long delay before I can respond. But the vast majority of users prefer to pay online via PayPal. You can be up and running in Templot within an hour or two, often less than that if I happen to be online when you order. Templot is available by download only.
