When fiddling about with Partial Templates etc, it becomes very difficult to select Templates just by clicking on them since they overlap each other: thus it is necessary to keep opening the box and working through the list in order to select the required Template. Templot already includes the feature by which the Template Names can be automatically listed in a row or column. It would be wonderful if the templates could be selected by simply clicking on the name within the list. Best Regards, Howard. |

Hi Howard, Hold down the SHIFT key or put the CAPS LOCK on. The labels will then highlight for clicking when the mouse pointer passes over them. Clicking the label highlights the partial template and displays its menu on the left. This works even if the labels have been turned off using the END key -- assuming you can remember where they are to pass the mouse over. To move them quickly, click bat name label on the template's menu, which jumps them sideways by a fixed amount. If two labels are exactly superimposed, moving the first one in this way allows you to get at the one below. regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin, I seem to have got myself into a bit of a mess with my name lables. If I select a group, then list the names in, say, a column, it seems that Templot starts the list at the position where the previous list ended. Thus, doing this a couple of time, leaves the list a few scale miles away from the track! But I can't find how to "unlist" a group, nor how to resposition a list of names for one group independently of other name lables / group lists. It would seem to be a useful feature if you could select a group of templates, list the name lables and then to position that list in some way. Best Regards, Howard |

Hello Have you tried Group -> mouse action: Move labels. I guess if you've really got yourself in a pickle, then there's Group -> restore group name labels as well. Hope it helps Richard. |

Hello Richard, Many thanks for this - the group-> restore name lables did the trick! Even after two years I still have major problems remembering where all these menu items are to be found. I also think I need to practice using the group feature a bit - this layout is only small but has a lot of partial templates so there are 97 templates in the list and I need to get better at manupulating them! Many thanks, Howard. |

Hi Howard, Richard has provided the answer to your question. For a full explanation, please see the Pug Info pages at: http://www.templot.com/martweb/pug_info_2.htm Scroll down to background template name labels and click the info icon. When you click arrange name labels, the dialog which appears has a more information bar, from which here are the notes below. I have coloured red and underlined the relevant bits which answer your questions: Arrange Name Labels regards,This function will neatly arrange the background template name labels into a row or a column. Martin. |

You can then add templates to the group, or remove them from it, by clicking the name labels, which highlight in green to show this function is active. When you have finished selecting or deselecting templates, cancel this function by pressing the ESC key, or the F12 key, or select any other menu item. regards, Martin. |
