Howdy all

I would like to make a group of templates into centrelines only as they represent hidden track but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it.

I have grouped them all together and looked in the group menu without any luck.

Pic attached of my scenario, hoping someone can help.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

You can't do that to a group. It's an obvious candidate for the modify on rebuild options, so thanks for the idea. :)

Until then you have to do it on each template individually:

delete to the control, then geometry > track centre-lines only, then main > store & background.

As an alternative to reducing the templates to centre-lines, you could change them to a pale colour. You can do that to an entire group. You need to do it twice, once for the screen and again for printing:

screen: group > template colours for group > marker colour for all this group... menu item.

print: group > template colours for group > mapping colour for all this group... menu item.

(If you just want a printout or DXF for now, you can change the generator settings to track centre-lines only (the skeleton settings get you most of the way with one click) and do rebuild group, but this change won't be preserved in the file for next time.)

regards,

Martin.

Excellent, thanks Martin. Hope I didn't create too much work with my idea :)

Cheers

Hi Bruce,

For the code, no. It took less than 5 minutes. :)

As always the real work is in changing the menus, help notes and web site. I haven't done all that yet. :(

regards,

Martin.
