Hi, hopefully I can download the Templot copy of my new fine scale OO layout, one of several designs by the late Frank dyer which could have been the Model Railway Club's layout 30 years ago!

Most of the pointwork has now ben built, just the 3 way, loco depot and double junction to go, pls the carriage sidings. Track is a mixture of some SMP which I bought many years ago, with a new load of C&L. I'm using C&L plastic sleepers and chairs. the double slips are fun to make (not). Points I can usually knock up in about an hour or so. Track is laid on some 3mm foam underlay which I had left over from a bus restoration project, very good stuff, industrial quality lino underlay!

I've already got most of the wiring in place as the layout was originally built using a mixture of Peco and Tillig, but i wasn't happy with either the appearance of the running qualities. I'm using the traditional cab control as the amount of wiring needed for DCC seems almost as much as that needed for traditional methods, especially point frog switching.

Photos to follow.

Thanks for all the views of the track plan. Most of the track has now been built and laid, apart from the loco depot and the 3-way crossover in the terminal platforms.

I've laid the track on some industrial grade lino underlay which was left over from a bus restoration job. It's 3mm thick and quite firm. I used an industrial grade adhesive to stick the tack down, more left-overs from the same bus project! It appears to be a rubber based glue, so should in theory be water soluble in case i ever need to lift any track!

Having previously built the layout using P*** fine scale track, the difference in appearance using finescale OO is amazing. One problem is that there's quite a bit of rewiring to do as a couple of points have moved onto adjacent baseboards.
