Hi!

I'm starting to build my own track equipment with the help of templo, but I don't know where to buy track gauges, rail, ties, etc.

I'm modelling standard N scale (1:160) not 2mm. The only track gauge and rails I know is the Micro Engineering's but importing from USA is a bit expensive, there is not any retailer in ebay that use to be cheaper than normal web stores.

I don't know if 2mm gauge is valid for standard N scale track building or I could have problems with my material.

Any recommendatio would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Antonio.

Hi Antonio

N gauge isn't really my thing, but I do use 2mm Scale Association stuff for 4mm scale narrow gauge so I can tell you that gauges for 2mm scale won't work with N gauge.  Have you visited the N Gauge Society website at http://ngaugesociety.com/ ?  Hopefully that'll point you in the right direction.  You should be able to get everything you need from them.

Hi Antonio,

Depending on the materials you are using you could try :-

http://www.smpscaleway.com/

They sell parts to make copperclad track with code 75 rail if that is what you require.

The items that Paul mentions are excellent if you want chaired track ( and have good eyesight )
