Hi Martin,

I have the DEVELOPMENT VERSION installed as per your instructions, thanks for the release code.

It starts up OK but I managed to crash the program within 5 minutes. The crash can be reproduced as follows :-

With some templates in the storage box but nothing in control if you click 'clear all templates' the templates all go off the screen to be replaced by a small box saying 'Your storage box is empty <OK>' which flashes rapidly for a few seconds and the program shuts down. The happens regardless of whether you take the save or not save option. When you restart the program the Templatesare all there again plus it adds a template into control.

Do the same to 'clear all templates' when there IS a control template and it clears all background templates and just leaves the control which is what I expected.

I tried different numbers of templates and changed gauge/scale but it didn't help.

Rob

Hi Rob,

Confirmed. I will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Immediately we see the advantages of a fresh pair of eyes in testing. :)

Many thanks for reporting it. :thumb:

As you have probably noticed, the control template is now saved between sessions by being temporarily "tacked on" to the .box file, so to speak.

This seemed an essential requirement for the Quick-mode way of working, but in fact it proved quite tricky to implement. There is obviously a bug in there somewhere. :(

regards,

Martin.

I have now fixed this.

I won't immediately post a new version just for this one change, so in the meantime on Build 2759 please take care not to clear all templates while the control template is invalidated (showing as a red Z symbol).

Thanks again Rob for reporting it. :thumb:

Martin.
