Hi Martin I don't know if I've found a bug but I thought I should bring this to your attention as I've created countless transitions in the past but none has ever produced this odd result before. I will attach the BOX file of the offending section of my plan in a separate message but have included here a PNG of what happened. I lined up the straight and curved track in the usual way and used the "make transition curve from the control template" menu item. The result is as shown in the attached PNG where the resulting transition didn't quite make it at its left hand end. Regards Alan |

Hi Alan, The problem is that both templates you are using contain a slew (with the slew zone end markers way over to the left). Templot can't make a transition from slewed templates. If a slew is needed you must apply it to the transition curve afterwards. However, this is a bug -- Templot should be warning you about the slews. I will look into that. As far as I know it's not related to TDV and you would get the same result in 091c. p.s. please if possible use the Image Gallery to post screenshots and images. You can then have several in one message. The attachment function is intended for .box files, etc. regards, Martin. |

Martin Wynne wrote: Hi Alan, Hi Martin Sorry about that. I did actually check for slews as other templates in that section have them and a badge normally displays to that effect if the template is made the control, but on these two it didn't and I've never noticed that happening on 091c. In fact I've just had another look at it to check I wasn't losing my marbles and as the straight template is deleted to the control, the slew warning does appear but then vanishes after a fraction of a second.
