The attached box file is a part of a larger design. The last check rail to the lower left of the bottom diamond is misshappen. I have tried correcting it using the 'pre-sets' in case I had used an odd setting but that does not help. Any ideas? Regards Raymond |

If you were to restore it to a full turnout you would see that it makes sense. To cure it, make it the control template and then click the template > convert turnout to half-diamond. You will then need to remove the K-crossing check rails at do > omit rails. Thanks for posting. Are you sure you need so many partial templates for that diamond? It looks at first sight that you could do almost the whole thing with make diamond-crossing at intersection. regards, Martin. |

Dear Martin, Many thanks for that. I will try your suggestion when I get back from Spain next week. I am trying to produce a layout that has great shunting potential and some complex trackwork that is credible. The Snow Hill project indicated that complex trackwork was common so it should also work for a largely freight railway too. The new system is much easier to use, once one has got used to the changes, and I look forward to exploring much more in future when I have more time. regards Raymond |
